LCA Concert Bands

Lexington Christian Academy offers concert band opportunities for students at the Intermediate, Junior High and Senior High level.  Fifth grade students are introduced to concert band and learn to play flute, clarinet, saxophone, trombone or percussion.  Sixth grade band students continue to advance their musical skills through more techniques and more challenging music.   Fifth and Sixth grade bands meet separately twice a week after school. The Intermediate bands are directed by Mr. Clark Cranfill.

For Junior high students, two band courses are offered. A beginning band course gives those students who have not participated in band previously the opportunity to join the band. For students with previous band experience, Advanced band offers more instrument choices and more demanding music.

Senior high band offers the student an opportunity to excel. Students play a wider variety of instruments, perform concerts, and participate in regional and state competitions. LCA students are encouraged to participate in All-District and All-State Band Tryouts.
